Liberty Elementary School

Educating Today for a Better Tomorrow!

Liberty Elementary

Mrs. DG's Class
  • Rapid Growth: In the late 1970s and early '80s, the transformation of Triangle Dairy into the Lakewood subdivision led to severe overcrowding at Garfield and Campus schools

Community Action: Following a PTA survey and a successful 1982 bond election, Liberty Elementary was built to serve the growing South Boise population.

Liberty's design was essentially copied for new schools built in the early 90's across the district. You can see the similarity when you look at White Pine, Cynthia Mann, Riverside, and Horizon.

  • Liberty Elementary School is a safe, positive community that values academic and behavioral excellence.

    • Conduct: Building-wide expectations and District-level policies.

    • Safety: Health protocols, emergency drills, and visitor guidelines.

  • Liberty is proud to host an on-site Montessori program. Our multi-age classrooms foster independent learning and collaboration across two levels: Lower Elementary (1st–3rd Grade) and Upper Elementary (4th–6th Grade)

Applications for Montessori are available each January, with a lottery held Mid-February.
